New World speed Record
On April 10th, Les Saites Marie de la Mer, FRANCE with the Mistral wind that peaked at 70-knots on Saturday evening with the records being set on the Sunday, Finian Maynard breack a new outright world speed record at 48.70.knots !!
Finian Maynard time was set in 40-knots with the occasional 45-knot push but nothing as violent as the records set in November 2004. He used a MaverX mast production STILO wave RDM 400 as the choise of a winner.

MaverX Masts is a subsidiary of Reglass-Italy .
Reglass is reputed as the first Italian company to launch 100% carbon
fibre masts in 1995 utilizing PREPREG Technology.Indeed, Reglass is an
established market leader in this segment, deploying state-of the art
mast manufacturing techniques.
We plan to break on to the market in 2006 with a full line-up of high
performance Masts, designed and built in-house with our own prepregs
from 90-100% Carbon content.
Our strength is the service we guarantee to our clients by being
direct manufacturers, possessing total quality control of all
processes from design & development through to production.
The study of the curve, stiffness, resistance and dynamic response
is carried out using CAE ( computer aided engineering ) which enables
the designers to produce the best possiblemast on the market. All
types of fracture (breaking*) tests are made during prototype
development either in the factory or else at our R&D field
trials center in Maui-Hawaii.
The2006 line-up of MaverX masts are made using extremely special
prepregs composed of high resistance and high modulus carbon fibre
impregnated with epoxy resin, creating a particular elasticity
characteristic and a high Tg. In so doing we can assure an incredible
dynamic response and reflex in a low weight mast.
One of our first goals is to break the new Speed World Record with our
new entry Finnian Maynard and thereby create animage of durable and
high performance products.Finnian will attempt the record between
October and December at St Marie De La Mer, France.

This mast was born on Maui..a tapered type with a RDM top. Developed with the input of various pro's on Maui and our tester Vittorio Marcelli (he is the perfect power machine) for the last 10 month this model..Today you can really count on extreme load and power pressure on this mast....real bullet-proof.. The design is a Skinny-Top with regular bottom-base..to fit regular extensions

The lightest and most performing RDM type of mast..Bullet proof and with a unique quality of keeping his shape on the low end bottom peace..normally the skinny masts saffers from too much flex on that area due to the thin section..but this mast benefits from the best carbon material existing and a unique technology combination..

Our latest creation..The design is a tapered type with a RDM-Top with regular bottom-base..to fit regular extensions...The stiffness and curves are between a Race and a Wave..a mast for top class freestyler which are looking for top performance with response, acceleration and super light feel. I consider this mast also a step in to top freeride future sails to upgrade your feeling with setting your batten rotation completely free, lightness and quick response...but still have a solid low-end..and a stronger than a regular Race mast..you will be able to also sail in small waves conditions..and feel safe..
