i didn't find any mausail to try here in south of france (leucate). I just get the opportunity to try 09 ezzy and so I will stay ezzy next year but i'm a very open mind guy and maybe my next quiver will be mauisail...
I found the new material "technora" very light and it give's the sail a very great sensation of softness. Do think in the future most of the sails will use this material including mauisails?

we have been using Technora for race sails all year with some great results. i'm sure we will be looking at using it in wave sails as well, especially the bigger ones. it's a tough material and appears to be able to take wave loading for a short time, but not sure yet how it wikll handle the big stuff. working on that.
did you have to pay a premium for the technora in your ezzy sails? it is very expensive as raw material.
sorry to hear you can't find a place to try our sails in one of the best plpaces in france. i will talak to our agent there about that.

Test result on the Wave Panther from Italy:
The noth-wind of Termoli (CB-Italy)
and the mistral of Torre Canne (BR-Italy)
gave me the chance to try the new Panther'09
in a day of pure wave.
Although conditions were not ideal,
much wind gust from the sea and waves not ordered,
I nevertheless appreciate the skills of this sail
designed for the radical wave conditions.
I thought to Ezzy sails as a robust sail
but is also very heavy, powerful and the long boom,
suitable to rider very "physical" and not for
lightweight like me (64 kg.).
Denied all immediately!
The new panther is a very stable sail,
very light, short of boom and much neutral
for surfing the waves without pushed.
It seems to have in our hands
a wing profile is so perfect.
In maneuvering is balanced and very friendly;
feelings that I attributed to the absence of mast
cocks that should not make the rotation around
the mast work much more gradually.
Even in overpowered the sail works so well
that while many riders heavier than I rigged the 4.0
I continued to surf with my 4.7 after
I adjusted the sail for strong wind.
Ultimately an excellent sailr, designed to last for
a long time and used between the waves
without fear of damage to the first wipe out.
A sail away from purely commercial logic.
For Ezzy sails every detail is the result
of continue experiments to improve its
performance and durability.
Unwound the sail, you see that
is very strong and studied in every detail.
Any solution and choice adopted shows
a meticulous attention.
Everything is designed to make the
sail indestructible and not worn.
From the sheet of instructions, fully plasticized,
where there are the explanations to rig the sail
and all details that make happy the most demanding riders.
In every sail-bag, the pleasant surprise
of a keychain-miniature faithfully
reproducing, even in color, the sail purchased.
To set the ideal trim there are,
between 2 and 3 battens,
three lines that indicate the correct tension
of downhaul for light, medium and strong wind.
With your sail correctky downhauled,
adjust the boom-end with the 3 cord
(use the short one for light wind,
the medium one for medium wind
and the long one for strong wind).
The clew ring is very reinforced!
With the variotop, present in all measures,
is possible to use the sail with
masts not "dedicated".
In case of emergency, in every bag,
there is an additional variotop that lengthening
further the variotop in order to use masts still longer
The no-break of the base of mast is very strength,
but at the same time, as indeed any material, even light.
The bottom of no-break is removable
so as to choose whether to protect the tack.
The tensioner key is stored at the tack of the sail.
The battens have already been tuned
by Ezzy in the factory and not need further tuning.
The foot of the sail that often touches
on the board is very strength to avoid the wear.
The sail mounted is very aggressive
with a perfect profile.
Although there are protections evrywhere,
the careful selection of materials gives
the sail a weight really ridiculous,
just think that the sail of this test
(4.7 ) weighs only kg 3,462.
A Cold Panther in the Sea:
"Hi David it's me again. first of all happy christmas
to you and all the guys in Maui!!
Here in attachment the pictures of our last day
on the water: last december 26 was really really
cold outside were not more of 3 degrees and
water was about 12.
I had my 2006 se 4.2 and fanatic 82 liters but
was really really hard even if you think that
I'm a fan of the speed slalom and not of the waves.
A very strong and cold wind called "bora"
(coming down from balcanic area) was about
35 knots average up to 40-42 and you can
understand that it's not the usual condition
we used to board. Waves of 2,5 meters and
very very choppy sea so the first fight was
to stand up on the board: it was very tough
but we were happy because we tested your
new Panther 3.7 4.2 4.7 of a friend of us
and that sails are great as usual but unfortunately
we don't have these conditions everyday
so as you move on this little sizes it seems
not to be able to board at any time and
crashes were about every 15 seconds.
But we had a very good times and this is
the most important thing.
Congratulations again for your
new masterpiece Panther even if my s.e.
is still a very great sail.

I'm obsessed with longevity and I provide a lifetime guarantee with every sail no matter how many people have used it. I stand behind my sails. Some people say to me that's stupid, no one will buy a new sail. But I know people would rather buy a product that lasts and they also know they can sell it on after a few seasons and it will hold its price.
I don’t put a lot of emphasis on team riders, they don’t buy their sails, they sometimes want something a little strange, and I don’t pay up for the PWA so consequently they don’t list Ezzy as a sailors sponsor. Luckily I have my son competing and they can’t make him change his surname!

Ιt is impossible for us in EZZY SAILS to produce a bad sail.
If that weren't enough, we also rig EVERY EZZY sail and go over them
with a fine tooth comb to make sure the shape and sewing is perfect.
All EZZY sails have the endobatten construction,
which means the seams are the batten pockets.
Every EZZY sail we make is computer cut and our tolerances are as

Luff curve: 1.0 mm
All sails have the endobatten construction, which means the seams are the
batten pockets.
This also means that each panel section must be finished on the edges and
the last thing that happens(before the sleeve goes on) is the batten seams are sewn.
That means we are unable to correct the luff or leech side if the panels do
not line up, the result being the sail could not be made.
This is not the case with a conventional batten pocket construction that
the other companies use.
They can be off by 10mm or more and still fudge the leech or luff edges,
but they will be also changing the design.
My point being, it is impossible for us to produce a bad sail. If that
weren't enough, we also rig EVERY sail and go over them with a fine tooth
comb to make sure the shape and sewing is perfect.
